In our approach to rehabilitation treatment, you and your loved ones are part of an interdisciplinary care team. Members of this treatment team vary according to your needs, but it often includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, nurses, case managers, dietitians, recreational therapists, social workers, psychologists and physiatrists (physicians specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation). This treatment team is dedicated to helping you regain or improve your physical function and empowers you to participate more fully in family, social, vocational and leisure activities.

We use the most current methods and equipment in working with patients to resume activities at home, work and in the community. Easy Street is an area equipped with fit-to-scale replicas of local businesses and common community settings so that patients can practice routine activities such as pumping gas, transferring in and out of a car, shopping for groceries and conducting banking transactions. This feature, combined with a transitional living apartment, gives patients and their families the opportunity to face everyday challenges with the support of the treatment team so the patient can make a smooth transition to the community.
St. Francis Inpatient Rehabilitation Services exceeds national averages in patient discharge rates to the community. (Community is defined as home or assisted living arrangements.)
