Immunizations needed for Employment/Volunteering
at St. Francis Health Center
Two-Step TB Skin Test
H new hire is able to produce TB Skin Test dated within the past year, only one TB Skin Test is necessary). H new hire is unable to produce documentation, two TB Skin Tests will be administered.
Tetanus Shot (current)
MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
No immunization will be given if documentation of two.MMR immunizations or documentation of positive titers is presented.
- If new hire's date of birth is prior to 1956, onllJ one immunization is
- If new hire is employed in a high risk area, documentation of a positive rubella titer is required regardless of immunization status. High risk areas include Topeka OB/GYN Associates, Pediatrics, New Life Center and clinics.
Hepatitis B Series
If new hire is working in a Category 1 for 2 position *, documentation of Hepatitis B immunizations or positive titer must be provided.
*Category 1 and 2 positions are classified as, contact or the potential to come into contact with blood and/or body fluids one or more times per month.
Failure to produce these records, receive the immunizations or have blood titers drawn may result in suspension.
