Dr. Carter went into medicine after, as a teenager, he saw his grandmother fall ill. His commitment to great care is driven by his love and memory of her. He takes a holistic approach to care, and helps his patients develop healthy habits for life, emphasizing exercise and nutrition as key elements for good health. As a board certified interventional cardiologist, he specializes in limb salvage, vein disorders and wound care. He went to medical school at the State University of New York Health Sciences Center at Brooklyn, and completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at Kings County Hospital, also in Brooklyn. Aside from being a physician, he also employs his creative talents to play piano and write poetry.
