Headache

Headaches are common problem during pregnancy. They are a result of hormonal changes, lack of sleep, caffeine withdrawal or stress.  Treatment during pregnancy can be challenging because aspirin and ibuprofen (motrin) are not recommended.  Tylenol is safe to take and is the treatment of choice during pregnancy.  We suggest taking Bendrayl (25 to 50 mg) with Tylenol (325 or 500 mg) along with a coke (or your favorite caffeinated beverage) followed by a nice long nap, if you have a migraine type headache.

  • Drink plenty of water and a good night rest/sleep
  • Eat a healthy balance diet and exercise regularly
  • Reduce stress - get a massage, take a warm bath or shower
