Health Providers partner to integrate Primary & Behavioral Health Care in Topeka

Valeo Behavioral Health Care, St. Francis Health Center, and Washburn University announce the opening of a new primary care clinic at Valeo’s 330 Oakley location.
Valeo CEO, Glea Ashley says the clinic will provide Valeo clients integrated primary care and behavioral health care, “We’re thrilled about our partnership with St. Francis and Washburn School of Nursing. The goal of this clinic is to improve overall health for individuals with comorbid mental and physical illnesses.”
The St. Francis Primary Care Clinic at Valeo Behavioral Health Care will:
- Increase coordination and collaboration between primary care and behavioral health care providers enhancing health care outcomes for the community.
- Increase utilization of preventative medicine.
- Enhance compliance with primary care recommendations.
- Decrease high cost emergency room visits.
The St. Francis Primary Care Clinic at Valeo will serve as a clinical training site for Washburn University Advanced Practice Nursing students, providing exposure to clinical pathways most effective in treating the primary care needs of individuals with comorbid mental health disorders. It will offer Wellness Visits, Urgent Care, and Chronic Disease Management for clients and staff of Valeo Behavioral Health Care.
The clinic will open July 1, 2013. An Open House is scheduled for June 13th, 3:00-5:00pm, 330 Oakley, Topeka KS 66606.
